Letters of Recommendation

What to provide Mrs. Coronati IF she says yes–you may begin asking her on Wednesday, June 15, 2016:

1. A completed Personal Data Form–available below

2. A copy of your high school transcript (unofficial is fine).

3. An envelope or folder that contains the following:

  • A copy of the “Teacher Recommendation form” from the college application. On this form, you should fill in the “Student Section,” and in the “Teacher Section,” fill out the school’s address, and write Jane Coronati and coronatij@parklandsd.org in the spaces for teacher’s name and email address. MAKE SURE that you sign the form where you are suppose to do so!

  • Stamped envelopes that are addressed to each college’s Office of Admissions.

  • A list of when each letter is due.

  • Anything else that you think would help Coronati write the best letter possible.

How do I know if I should ask Coronati for a letter of rec?

1.Did you receive an A or B in her class? Or, do you feel that she can uniquely vouch for your character or scholarship?

2. Did you never cheat in her class?

3. Is it before September 15th, 2016***?

If you answered YES to ALL of the above questions, then you MAY ASK for a letter. Do not just assume she will do it and send her the paperwork. The asking is important. I will only agree to write letters for 20 people--and you are not officially on the list until I say yes and I have received your paperwork.

Thanks to Mrs. Jennifer Smith for creating this process!
